Roadworks planned next week for Paihia
Drainage and road improvements are set to take place on State Highway 11 near Kings Road in Paihia, starting Tuesday 7 April and continuing through to Thursday 30 April 2026. Traffic management will be in place to reduce traffic disruption.
The work will be carried out by Fulton Hogan on behalf of NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and will focus on improving road conditions and drainage along this section of the highway. Crews will be onsite during the day, operating between 7am and 6pm – weather permitting.
Stop/go traffic management will be in place during key stages of the work and a reduced speed limit of 30km/h will apply throughout the work area.
Residents and business owners in the affected area will continue to have access and will be contacted directly by contractors if work requires that access to be temporarily restricted. Contractors will always give emergency services full access.
Some construction noise will be unavoidable, but all efforts will be made to minimise disruption to the surrounding community.
