Get E-Mail Notices from your Local Library!

Would you like a quick, easy way to find out when your holds are ready for pick up? How about a faster way to find out that your items are overdue?

You can get all that through Email Library Notices.

What are Email Library Notices?
Email Library Notices are an optional way for you to be notified that items you have requested to be held for you have arrived at the chosen pickup location. We also use emails to send overdue and billing notices.

Please email us your email address to Horizon@fndc.govt.nz including your full name and borrower barcode number to begin receiving e-mail notices from your local library about items requested or overdue. If you have children with their own library cards and would like them to receive emails as well, please also include their details.

We won't share your email address with anyone else.

Pedometers for issue

Far North District Libraries stock pedometers for issue from each branch.

A pedometer is a small portable electronic device which counts each step a person makes. Used originally by sports and physical fitness people, pedometers are now becoming popular as an exercise measure and motivator. Often worn on the belt and kept on all day, you can read off it how many steps you have walked that day.

Pedometers are issued for 14 days.
